Ethnographic Museum Zagreb Culture and Arts

Multimedia presentation of the exhibition How the Mask Changes You

The Ethnographic Museum is an institution open to the general public whose main goal is to preserve ethnographic heritage and cultural identities and to understand the world in which we live. The main tasks of the museum are the systematic collection of cultural objects, their preservation, museological processing, professional and scientific study and exhibition. In achieving its goals, the Museum communicates with visitors, institutions, interested communities and users and encourages the acceptance of ethnology as a science of people and their culture.

During the opening of the exhibition How the Mask Changes You, the Ethnographic Museum wanted to show the customs of masquerades from the area of Gljevo, near Sinj. The exhibition featured several masquerade characters from the Cetina region, and visitors were able to try on clothes that were specially made for this exhibition and adapted to various age groups. An interactive "magic mirror" was also set up at the exhibition, where visitors could see how the mask change them via interactive application, take a "selfie" and send it via e-mail to their friends.

The Ethnographic Museum decided to complete the presentation of its exhibition How the Mask Changes You with multimedia content and interaction. The aim of the project is to offer visitors the opportunity to explore the exhibition, view digital publications, and try various entertaining content.
