Development of an interactive digital signage solution to facilitate product promotion at trade fairs
A.B.S. in Product Marketing
A.B.S. is a leading manufacturer of doors and windows who pride themselves on their modern designs. As a part of their product marketing they often participate in trade shows across Europe. Showing their full range of products is difficult at such events, due to space limitations and/or prohibitive costs. Printed catalogues are not an ideal solution for them because it is difficult, and expensive, to keep them up to date with continuous product developments. So A.B.S. embarked upon the search for a suitable interactive digital signage solution they would use at all trade shows as well as at their normal exhibition rooms. So they found PandoPad.
Creative tasks involved design and creation of content required to present appropriate user interface as well as the content for use in various PandoPad applications. PandoPad® Custom Desktop was adapted to suit the client, a major change beeing to embed video. PandoPad® Pages were used to provide product catalogue presentation, with QR codes that could be used to download catalogues and product information in PDF format.
PandoPad® Smart Products was deployed and adapted so a customer could play and match doors and windows to selected house designs, so they could get a better feel for what the result would be if they installed such doors and windows in their home. PandoPad® Gallery was used to show examples of actual deployments through a self-running or a user controlled slide show.
The final part of the solution was inclusion of a special “energy efficiency calculator” application that provided estimates based on door/window selection.
